Background

Google provides a mechanism for trademark owners to prevent unauthorized use of their trademarks by third-party advertisers. In order for a trademark to be recognized by Google, the owner of the trademark needs to submit this online complaint form and follow the process described in the form. Once the trademark complaint has been processed by Google, it won’t be possible to use the trademark on Google’s ads by any unauthorized parties. Google does not provide a method for finding out if a word is, indeed, recognized as a trademark in their systems.
